When Dylan comes back and starts appearing again, please please please DON’T ask him about his injuries.

If he’s as fully healed and well as rumors claim, he’s probably nervous about showing his face in public again after his traumatic accident and long disappearance. We’ve been craving any photo, any update on him sources were willing to toss us and TWS6 isn’t too far away so when we do finally see Dylan again after what feels like centuries, it’s probably going to be crazy.

Dylan gets anxiety about things like that, which is more than likely why he doesn’t attend conventions or events anymore like he used to years ago. He never wanted to be famous or as popular as he is now and probably never expected to. Think about how he feels with not only paparazzi trying to deliberately invade his personal space, hormonal teenagers oversexualizing/objectifying him endlessly and making him uncomfortable by seeing how far they can get with physical touch, etc. whenever they think there’s an opportunity and trying to hold onto whatever he can of a normal life among all of that.

Honestly? Thant kind of thing adds up and has an effect on a person. The last thing he needs is the entire universe trying to squeeze information out of him and plead for all of the clandestine details about what happened to him during the accident. He’s not going to want that and he’s probably already thinking about what to say to those or how to handle millions pressuring him for information about that. Let’s not, okay? Let’s save him the stress and anxiety and just leave it alone. We want him to be comfortable appearing again. We don’t need to know how it happened. As long as he’s alive and he’s not hurt, we should be thankful.

It’s okay if he doesn’t want anyone to know and it’s okay if he doesn’t want to talk about it.

His family was very kind to us throughout the whole scenario while keeping it hush-hush (and they chose to interact with us even though they knew how upset and worried we were), and other sources wouldn’t have treated us that well. It doesn’t matter what triggered it or whose fault it was. it happened and we can’t erase that. we can just hope he’s okay.

On another note, I would like to take this opportunity and use this as a friendly reminder that  we all need to give the way we treat Dylan a makeover and change things. When he comes back, I want all of us to treat him better — including asking permission for photos and hugs first, no sexual tweets, no gross signs in his presence,

no “CAN I HAVE A HUG/I LOVE YOU SO MUCH/MARRY ME!!!” during panel questions, no touching inappropriately or seeing how far we can get when we meet or get close enough, no objectification, no “f*ck me daddy”, none of that. I want to show him that we’re mature, we respect him and we’re not animals. We want him to feel comfortable around us and we don’t want to violate his space or make him nervous. We want to make

sure he’s okay because we genuinely care for him and support him. he’s a human, not a sex object. let’s be different and show him that. It might make him feel better, he’ll notice and appreciate it. We can show love without being provocative/perverted about it, it’s easy! Just smile, be really nice to him, talk to him and ask first if you want something to make sure he’s okay with it and I PROMISE he’ll feel a lot more comfortable interacting with us again. Dylan’s

personal space and safety > our satisfaction. We have to give back and make sure our idol is happy first before we are.

Let’s change these things and spread this around our fandoms before his next appearance so that we can surprise him by how well-behaved and sweet we are and help him not to feel so on edge about being back. If enough of us tweet the fandom not to ask Dylan anything about his accident, we can prevent it from happening. He’s always been so good to us no matter of what he has to put up with, and this would be really nice of us to do for him.
