Claws and fangs that will rip a man to shreds.” For years the beast has terrorized Beacon Hills, preying on anyone too slow or too stupid to be caught in the woods after sundown. When Scott returns late from a hunting trip wounded and delirious from blood loss, the whole village is thrown into an uproar, and Stiles takes it upon himself to seek out the beast and kill it once and for all. But the wolf he finds is nothing like the terrifying creature of legend and Derek, self-appointed guardian of the forest, needs his help to track down the real monster and stop it before it takes someone else.
