• This is a gorgeous future fic with a Stiles that has grown up and moved to San Francisco, learned his sexual tastes and fully inhabits his role as a Dom. Derek has been away for 10 years with no contact and then they meet again. This is full of nostalgia and yearning, and gives you all the satisfaction of waiting a decade for the perfect moment. The spanking is written beautifully and evocatively and it’s really authentic. I had a big smile on my face by the end of this!

• This is so, so, so hot. Okay? And it’s from Derek’s perspective (a fave of mine) and its just so beautifully written, the way this thing unfolds between him and Stiles and the way that he’s learning himself again through the things Stiles makes him feel. I adore bottom!Derek and this is some seriously well written smut. It just makes you feel the ache and the anticipation as you read and I wholeheartedly recommend it!

“Stiles realizes Derek has intimacy issues and tries to find a way to help them both better understand.”

• This is a beautiful, gentle and interesting use of BDSM in a fic – its not overtly about power and control, and Stiles deciding to go down the route of bondage comes from wanting to help Derek develop his ability to be intimate. It’s a lovely relationship driven fic, with sterek having their problems but actively and positively trying to work with them. It has shibari rope bondage in it which is a THING FOR ME – just imagine how Derek looks when you’re reading it 😉  but other than that it’s all Stiles worshipping Derek – no pain or discipline, just a big ol’ dose of Stiles lovin’ and PRAISE KINK.

“Derek goes away to deal with a hostile rival pack, and Stiles calls him up to settle his nerves.

“Ah, you feeling a bit stressed out big guy?”

“Yes,” he says, voice raspy.

• Oh man this is a gorgeous one – it’s entirely made up of phone sex but oh what a conversation our lovely boys are having. Its a lovely snapshot of a tender, trusting, loving relationship where Derek gets thoroughly looked after in all the ways. There’s moments of laughter as well as heightened emotions and downright filthy actions. Praise kink, tease and denial, light bondage. Unf. Its got it all.

Kick at the Darkness ‘til it Bleeds Daylight by the_deep_magic

“Stiles will never forget the day Derek first shoved the brand-new leather straps into his hands, mumbling a question Stiles couldn’t quite understand because all he heard was the unspoken I’ve never trusted anyone else with this. Stiles is sure he probably gaped like a fish for a full minute before throwing his arms around Derek and promising him anything he wanted, whenever he wanted it.”

• I love this fic – mostly because I think I’m totally taken with the idea of Alpha!Derek eventually getting to the point where he needs to hand over the reins of responsibility and only trusting Stiles to be the one to take control. This is beautifully written, and while the kink factor is perhaps not your standard ‘this has all been thoroughly discussed beforehand’ there is an organic air to it that fits their characters I think. Canon Derek is hardly Mr. Communicative, and this kind of silent understanding and non-verbal communication is very believable for them. Incredibly hot – and check out the link in the notes to the image that inspired the fic – you will not be able to get the idea of Derek handing Stiles the leather restraints out of your head. I haven’t been able to!

“The last thing Stiles expects when he walks into Lydia’s exclusive S&M club is to rescue a sub who’s obviously been mistreated for a long time. His name is Derek, and when he awkwardly reaches out, asking Stiles to be his Dom, the urge to shield Derek from more pain is too strong for Stiles to resist. But Derek is still recovering from his past and learning how to set boundaries, so they have to take things slow.”

• THIS IS SO GOOD OKAY? It’s a longer fic, with such a detailed and nuanced representation of a BDSM relationship – with Derek recovering after an abusive Domme (guess who) mistreated him, and learning his own boundaries again through his relationship with Stiles. Cue lots of discussion, testing of limits and going slowly – with dashes of miscommunication – but with a happy resolution. You know me – I should join happy endings anonymous tbh. Stiles and Derek’s interactions are so well written and even the miscommunication, Stiles being just that bit too protective and planning a little too far ahead just add to the authenticity of the relationship. The bdsm scenes between Derek and Stile are gorgeous – the imagery is smoking hot, and incredibly tender too. Seeing Derek slowly come back into himself and being able to ask for what he wants – whether its flogging or just eating pizza and relaxing is just – *sighs* Derek Hale and personal growth and happiness? That’s my ultimate kink. And seeing Stiles support him on that journey? Sterek heaven.

• Alright my lovelies – brace yourselves. Because this fic is one part of a series that is full of some of the most scorchingly hot sex scenes I’ve had the pleasure to read in the Sterek fandom. I chose this fic because it shows the beginning of their relationship in person, and can be read as a standalone and I’m figuring its appeal will be broad. It. Is. So. Damn. Hot. I love this Derek a lot. His perspective on Stiles and on the relationship they embark on are so well written and tender it just totally hits all of my spots. If you like this I heartily recommend reading the rest of the series – and the rest of this writers fics cause they’re awesome – just mind the tags 😉

• This is a gentle, low-key kind of power dynamic on display but I had to include it because sometimes I think this is the only kind of dominant canon Derek would be happy being with Stiles. (Just sometimes – don’t get me wrong 😉 ) This is second part to an AMAZING fic called Cupboard Love (which I also recommend) but you don’t need to have read that, this stands alone as a totally sexy fic of its own.

• OKAY let me just start off by saying prepare yourselves my lovelies because this is seriously hot stuff. Stiles tied down? Check. Bottom!Derek firmly in control of the whole situation? Check. • This is part two of the Happy Birthday Mr Hale series which I highly recommend but this is where Derek and Stiles’ BDSM relationship really starts going – it’s got older single-dad!Derek, babysitter!Stiles and a lovely (porny) BDSM conversation where they work out what they both want to try together. Loss of virginity, praise kink, possessive!Derek – its got it all and its got it good. I love this fic, and I love the way Derek takes care of Stiles – its filthyhot, smutty and kinky – but its also romantic and caring and tender.

• This is so so lovely – I love rope bondage and I adore the idea of Stiles with his pale skin and lithe body getting all trussed up by Derek – make it Shibari with all of the beauty and grace that comes with that? And you get this fic – full of sensually aesthetic beauty (which Derek is a clear lover of) along with delicious aftercare and interaction between him and Stiles.
