Relationship: Derek Hale/Stiles Stilinski
Word Count: 13,410
Rating: Teen
Summary: If there’s one thing Stiles Stilinski knows, it’s that
Deputy Derek Hale absolutely Does Not Like him. The only reason Derek
even tolerates him is because their kids are worryingly codependent.

So Stiles is understandably confused when a very feral Derek shows up
in his backyard after a call gone wrong and proceeds to move in with
him.

The reveals have been posted, so I can finally link you guys my pinch-hitter fic for the TW Fall Harvest! It ended up being about 8k longer than I thought it would (oops) but really that shouldn’t surprise anybody by now.

Hope you’re ready for some single dads, magic!Stiles, deputy!Derek, and feral!Derek, because that’s what I’ve got.

Based on this prompt that I scribbled out ages ago, and written for the lovely @marguerite26, one of the mods for this event.

stiles stilinski is a senior in college and back home in beacon hills for the first time in four years. his first night home includes: alcohol, scott, alcohol, bromancing, shots and hooking up with this hottie at the bar. of course, he tries to do the same thing the next night, but he gets arrested by his father’s deputy and wakes up in jail the next morning, with a hangover and a clue to who the mystery one-night-stand was.

Coming home from college, the last thing Stiles expected was to be stopped by a hot muscled stranger wearing a BHPD uniform, and he was totally ready to blast the guy in the face if he turned out to be yet another kidnapper looking to get his hands on a young active Spark.

Except Deputy Hale is real, and sweet, and did he mention hot like burning?

oops, i did it again…

After all…

A sheriffs car pulls up behind his jeep. Stiles holds up his flashlight, careful not to blind the deputy, but giving them enough light to be able to see Stiles. He hears the door open and sees a tall figure begin to walk towards him.

“You have no idea how happy I am to see you depu-” Stiles stops short because the deputy is now in front of him, directly in front of him and, Jesus wept, he is the most gorgeous man that Stiles has ever seen.

TEEN WOLF AU: Derek Hale works alongside his sister Laura
Hale at the Beacon Hills Sheriff Department, both as deputies, and he mainly
works with the K-9 Unit, even fostering some of the dogs before their training.
Stiles Stilinski works alongside his brother Scott McCall as paramedics for
Beacon County. Both Derek and Stiles often see each other at scenes and they
work well together, despite the bickering that the rest of their teams/friends
have viewed. Then one day when Stiles and Scott are out on a heart attack call
downtown, Derek gets hurt in a volatile situation. Stiles ends up telling the
rougish deputy about his feelings after Derek awakes in the hospital with
Stiles sleeping in an uncomfortable chair by his bedside (where Stiles had been
every spare moment he’d had), and it turns out that Derek also has feelings for
Stiles. The bickering turns out to be their version of foreplay. Deputy Erica
Reyes wins the pool on when the two idiots where going to get together, and when
Stiles brings Derek over for family dinner it’s the Sheriff who threatens
Stiles against hurting Derek, much to the amusement of everyone at the table.

for @alqhamccall, last year I made you sciles, this year you get sterek. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN!!! :* :*

Summary: Stiles isn’t too sure about the guy his dad wants
to set him up with. Then he sees a picture of Deputy Hale, and he changes his
mind.

Notes: A little fic inspired by this gifset. (On AO3)

“Stiles, just—”

“Dad, no,” Stiles
interrupts. He doesn’t need his dad nosing into his (nonexistent) love life.

“Look, you said you wanted to be dating someone, right?” the
sheriff persists. “Said you wanted a boyfriend?”

“Or girlfriend,” Stiles huffs, because it’s looking like he
can’t avoid this conversation. Well, except by hanging up, but he’s not going
to do that to his dad. Even if he is meddling.

Sterek AU: Stiles is starting to think it may not have been the best choice jumping into some stranger’s car while trying to avoid the Sheriff. This guy’s eyebrows are giving off definite serial killer vibes and he doesn’t seem to be responding well to Stiles natural wit and charm.

Luckily for Stiles, Derek almost definitely won’t kill him. When the Sheriff finds out that his son carjacked his new deputy however, it might be a different story (insp.)

Just a Hobby

kaistrex:

Five times Deputy Derek shelters his partner from the supernatural and
the one time he discovers he’s just been making a fool of himself.

3015w. Written for the @sterekwritingroom August theme ‘Cops & Crooks’. | AO3

Note:
The fourth part doesn’t really fit in with the ‘Five times…’ in the summary, but I didn’t know how else to word it!
This is inspired by all the prompts we were throwing at each other in my writing group.

With news of a Nemeton waking in the town of Beacon Hills, Derek
immediately requests a transfer to the town’s Sheriff department. The
area has no protectors, no werewolf pack that calls it home, and he’s
had enough experience to know the current deputies have no idea what
they’re dealing with.

The new magical activity given off by the
Nemeton attracts the sort of supernatural attention the town isn’t
equipped to deal with, though he can’t help wondering if the pull
drawing him to the town makes him any different from the rest of them.
One thing’s for sure though: he had no idea how difficult it would be to
cover up the true natures of the criminals when he’s been landed with a
partner this distracting.

Stiles Stilinski is the son of the
celebrated Sheriff, sharp-minded and quick-witted and sarcastic, with
bright eyes, a smart mouth and long fingers. From day one, Derek was a
goner but, beside the fact that trying to date his partner would be
frowned upon on a whole number of levels, the sorts of secrets Derek is
keeping from him does not a lasting relationship make. It didn’t help
grow a working partnership either, especially after only one hour on the
job and Stiles already caught him logging into his family’s bestiary.

“‘Myth
versus reality’,” Stiles had read aloud slowly from over his shoulder.
Derek had leapt nearly a foot in the air and cracked his computer mouse
with how hard he clicked the minimise button.

“It’s just a hobby!” he’d blurted out, sure he must have been sweating bullets as Stiles’ eyes narrowed.

His
new partner’s frown smoothed out a second later to an expression
strangely blank. “A hobby?” he’d asked with a knowing nod. “Cool.”

Despite
the close call, the bestiary comes in handy when his first major case
happens to be a wendigo discovered after a prolonged power outage to the
street it lived on raised complaints of a foul odour coming from the
thing’s basement. It’s since been dubbed a cannibal and Derek is the
only one who knows the truth.

My darling @blacktofade‘s birthday was, uh, two months ago, so here I am, ten years late with her birthday present. ILU BB!! If this lil au seems like it should be a full-length fic, that’s because it desperately tried to be, and I had to keep chopping at it to keep it under control, like some kind of rouge hedge on meth. (I know this is long; I’ll try to get it up on AO3 this weekend for those that prefer reading on there.)

In the hours after the fight, Stiles drives and drives and drives. At first it’s late, and then it’s so late that it’s early, but he keeps on driving, fueled by anger, mostly in silence, though somewhere around the middle of Pennsylvania he thaws enough to put on some music. He stops at a rest stop just past the Ohio border to get a breakfast sandwich, and as he sits at a dirty table and eats, he thinks: shit.

Doubt begins creeping into his thoughts; maybe he’d been too hasty. Maybe he should have given Jay a chance to explain – but no, no, fuck that. He’d always made it really fucking clear that if their relationship ever got to the point where cheating seemed like a good option, he’d rather just be broken up with and yet look what fucking happened. Stiles scoffs scornfully, chucking the wrapper to his sandwich in a nearby trash can. Two and a half years down the drain.

Refreshed by a new wave of anger, Stiles heads back to his car and gets back on the highway. He manages to wrangle his phone from his pocket and, ignoring the multiple text and missed call notifications, he calls his dad, who picks up with a sigh.

“You know what time it is?” his dad asks, and Stiles looks at his dash guiltily. He’s been so worked up that he forgot about the time difference – or the fact that even on the east coast, it’s early, the sun barely above the horizon.

“Sorry,” Stiles says with a wince. “I’ll call back later.”

“It’s fine,” Dad says with another sigh. “I just got home from an overnight shift. Everything all right? You’re not usually up before ten.”

Stiles opens his mouth and then closes his mouth, startled by the raw ache in his eyes.

“Stiles?” his dad presses, somehow gentle and sharp at the same time; Stiles is worrying him.

“I’m – ” Stiles clears his throat, tapping his fingers against the wheel. “Um. How would you feel about me moving home for a while?”
