“Person A knowing that person B does cute things when A is asleep (plays with their hair, gives forehead kisses, tracing lips, gentle snuggling, draws them, etc). One day person A pretends to be asleep, but ends up being unable to hold back a smile as person B begins displaying their rare affection”

The
first time it happened, it was so quick, it might as well have been
an accident.It
was movie night at Erica’s, and there was a heavy weight on Derek’s
shoulder, a soft snoring in his ear. He didn’t need to look to know
Stiles was fast asleep on him, had been for several minutes now.Stiles
had been yawning from the moment Derek walked into Erica’ apartment,
arms full of the extra snacks she had made him buy on the way over.
Because apparently they didn’t have enough already, despite the whole
living room table being full of bowls and plates with them. Erica
went all out to impress everyone though, had been stressing about it
for weeks before, so Derek hadn’t thought twice before he’d said he’d
do it.The
movie had started and not ten minutes after, Stiles was fast asleep
on his shoulder.Had
it happened a few years ago, Derek would have shoved him off with an
annoyed grunt and told him to not drool on him. But now – after
everything they had been through together, and after they stopped
pining and started dating – he just smiled fondly for a second and
let him stay there.

It’s @lena221b‘s birthday today, and she deserves all the things, so naturally I have to post fic. So here, sweetiepie, have some insecure Stiles with a pinch of smut and lots of feels and… well, maybe a little more ugly reality than usual, but I hope you like it anyway. ❤ Hope you have the most awesome day! ❤ ❤
~1600 words of magic!Stiles and deputy!Derek, mixed with domestic fluff and Stiles angsting over stuff.
* * *
It’s been three long days, and Stiles
could weep from how happy he is when he realizes that the magic
user’s convention is winding down half a day early, and he can head
home rather than stay another night. So he drives for six hours,
drags himself up the porch steps of the rebuilt Hale house close to
midnight, and lets himself in with a sigh of relief. Home at last. It’s dark inside, but the TV is on,
adding soft background noise and a flicker of light in the living
room, and Stiles grins when he spots Derek asleep on the couch. He’s
obviously tired too.Derek doesn’t like to admit it, but he
sleeps poorly without Stiles, and also doesn’t like when he’s so far
away. But their schedules just did not match up well enough this
time, so Derek couldn’t tag along. To make up for it he took on way
too much work at the sheriff’s department to keep his mind off his
empty bed, and, werewolf or not, three days of non-stop work is
apparently enough to make anyone pass out on the couch. He doesn’t even stir when Stiles flicks
on a small lamp, and quietly sits himself on the coffee table, just
to look his fill for a minute. He’ll poke Derek awake, and drag him
off to bed in a minute. But as soon as Stiles’ eyes adjust to the
light he frowns. Because Derek looks different, the soft glow of the
lamp showing Stiles something he’s never seen before.
For the meme: could you please do a Sterek high school AU but they’re in an established relationship? Please and thank you!
[I just – I have no idea what this is, but it’s definitely not a three-sentence fic.]
–
“A-ha!”
“Shit!” Stiles yells, falling off the bed as Derek scrambles for
his shirt. “Dad!”“Stiles.” His dad mocks from his place at the door, arms crossed
over his chest and a smug look on his face. “Derek.”Derek clears his throat, face a deep shade of red as he puts on his
shirt. “Uh, hi. Sir.” He adds after Stiles’ dad arches his
eyebrow.“Dad, you – I can explain!”
“You had three months to come up with an explanation.” His dad
says, shaking his head, amused. “I bet it’s a good one.”“What?
You – you knew?”
Stiles splutters, glancing at Derek with panicked eyes. They’ve been
so good at hiding, fuck. His dad knew. His
dad points at the badge on his chest, arches an eyebrow. Stiles can
hear the silent duh
hanging in the air.“You have three minutes to come downstairs.” He turns around,
looking pointedly at Derek. “Keep your hand to yourself.” Derek
looks down, suddenly shy, and nods obediently.“Or maybe we could have this talk tomorrow? When you just hadn’t
caught us trying to have sex? And Derek had the time to run away?”
Stiles babbles, smiling awkwardly.“My gun is in my bedroom and you know I’d never shoot a minor.”
His dad answers, already leaving the room. “Especially not in my
own damn house.”“If you try to hurt him I won’t let you eat bacon ever again!”
“It will be worth it!” His dad shouts back.
Derek shrinks into himself, collapses on the bed with a groan.
“So –” Stiles sits beside him, feeling just as hopeless as
Derek. “on a scale of one to ten, how much do you want to jump out
that window now?”
this was written because my friend @k1ngdragon is very gay and he wouldn’t leave me alone and kept talking about the most domestic piece of shit ever
“Come back to bed, Stiles,” he hears from behind him, Derek’s voice still rough with sleep. It sounds tempting, way too tempting, but Stiles squares his shoulders and pulls on his pants.
“No,” he says, refusing to turn around. “We had plans Derek! Romantic camping plans! With campfires! And probably awkward sex in a tent!”
“We can do it later just- come back to bed.”
Stiles glances back for a second, just a second and shit. Derek’s lying on his back, the sunlight shining through the curtains making him look soft, looking up at Stiles through his eyelashes. Derek absently scratches a hand on his stomach, a thing he always does in the morning and Stiles can already feel himself giving in, because Derek looks so content and happy and he’s lying in bed, naked and Stiles loves him.
What Matters Most
for @shealwaysreads for always being wonderful and just bc I love you a lot
for @hoechlbutt and @okamiaki my babies that make my every day, since the moment i met them, brighter and are not having it good these days *wraps you both in fluffy blankets and octopus hugs you* I love you so much I wanna adopt a mission of monkeys with you and a zoo. I want all the animals with you two. *smooches*
Stiles had been pacing back and forth for a while now.
Derek was used to it.
He knew sometimes that was just how Stiles thought. He
needed the constant and repetitive movement to organise whatever was going
through his head, he had explained it to him, in whispers one night, when
neither of them had been sleepy enough to fall asleep right away. But there was something not right in this kind of pacing.
Stiles movements were too jittery, and Derek noticed with a frown that a light
tremor touched his right hand whenever he brought it up to run his finger
trough his hair in a frustrated gesture.“Stiles,” Derek called when Stiles had huffed at the empty
air, yet again. His boyfriend turned to him, his eyes a bit too wide and sad
–it made Derek’s chest ache, seeing the sadness and uneasiness in them.“What’s wrong?” He closed his book and stood up, opening his
arms in an inviting gesture.Stiles all but threw himself in his arms, and buried his
face in the crook of Derek’ neck. “I dunno.”Derek wrapped his arms tight around him and rubbed his back.
“I just-” Stiles huffed again, pulling back from the embrace
to grip the fabric of his own shirt above his heart. “It hurts here.” Stiles
said miserably, “my heart fucking hurts and I don’t know why.”Derek put his hand above Stiles’, the one on his heart, and
squeezed. “What do you want me to do?”Stiles made a pained sound and Derek felt the same ache in
his chest when Stiles shook his head and said, “I don’t’ know Derek, I just- I don’t
know.” In a broken voice. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”Derek pulled him back in his arms. He turned his face to
kiss every mole and freckle on Stiles’ face for only pause once he had gently
pecked his lips.He sat Stiles down on the couch and wrapped the white fluffy
blanket that the kept on the back of the couch around his shoulder and turned
on the TV to put Star Wars on, knowing he’d chosen well when Stiles made a
surprised pleased sound.“We didn’t spend much time together like this in a while,
did we?” Derek asked, settling behind Stiles on the couch, nuzzling his neck.Stiles shook his head, turning away from the TV to face him.
He put a hand on Derek’s chest, caressing the hair poking out from his shirt
and didn’t say anything, just settled his forehead against Derek’s collarbone
and breathed for a while.Derek didn’t know what else to do other than to let him do
whatever he needed, so he buried his face in Stiles’ hair and closed his eyes.*~*
He woke up to light kisses being pressed on his cheeks and
nose and forehead, tiny butterfly kisses that made his lips stretch in a wide
smile and wrap his arms around the source, pulling him flush against him.“I can’t kiss you if you hold me this tight,” Stiles grumbled.
Derek’s grin widened and he opened his eyes, peering down at
his boyfriend with a glint in his eyes. “I know.”Stiles had just barely started to frown, before he was being
flipped, so that Derek was on top. “Now, I
get to kiss you.” He said with a
dopey smile that made Stiles snort.“Sap.”
Derek hummed and kept promise on his statement, kissing and
nuzzling every inch of Stiles’ face. “I love you,” he whispered in his ear, his
eyes soft when he looked down at him.Stiles’ eyes softened, his fingers scratching lightly on the
back of Derek’s neck. “I love you too.”When Derek smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners, Stiles
felt the weight on his chest lift a little.
This was all he needed. No matter how weird and shitty he
felt, knowing and Derek showing him that he loved him, would always be what
mattered to him most.
ELISA you’re a golden human full of goodness, I’m so happy to have met you and I LOVE THAT YOU’RE WRITING AGAIN BECAUSE YOU’RE SO GOOD! ❤️ THANK YOU FOR THIS!

Derek looks around the backyard and goes
over his mental checklist. Laughter? Check. Talking? Check. People in the pool
trying to get the people next to pool wet? Check. Food? Check. Drinks? Che— No
check.Derek grabs the almost empty pitcher of
lemonade from the table and goes to the kitchen to refill it.He’s counting ice cubes when he hears
Stiles approach.‘You having fun?’ Stiles asks him.
‘Of course.’
‘Because you seem a little tense.’
Stiles’ hand comes to rest against the
back of Derek’s neck, and Derek realizes Stiles is right. Taking a deep breath
in, he lets the tension flow out of him. Stiles might not be able to take other
people’s pain, but whenever Derek is tense, all he needs is a simple touch from
his boyfriend and the tension is gone in an instant.‘I just… I want this party to be
perfect,’ Derek says, turning around.Stiles steps forward, forcing Derek to
take a step back and his back hits the edge of the counter. Stiles places his
hands on either of side of Derek, trapping him in place. Derek feels himself
relax even further.‘Well, it almost is. What would make it
completely perfect is if you were actually there and not constantly running around
and worrying if everyone else is having a good time.’‘I know. I just—‘
‘—want it to be perfect,’ Stiles
finishes. He brushes a hand through Derek’s hair, then narrows his eyes at him.
Derek can almost hear the little wheels turning in Stiles’ head as he tries to
puzzle things out. ‘What’s going on?’‘My mom used to throw these,’ Derek says
after a moment. The expression on Stiles’ face turns soft and understanding.
‘They were amazing,’ Derek continues. ‘The whole pack would be there, our
entire family. It was our biggest event of the summer. We could eat as much ice
cream and candy as we wanted. We could stay up late. We could play around and
have fun and not worry about staying in control, because everyone who was there
was in the know, if not a werewolf themselves.’‘That does sound kind of perfect,’
Stiles says.‘They were and I wanted to have that
here too. With us.’‘Derek, we do have that here. Look.’
Derek allows Stiles to turn him toward
the big windows at the back of the house. He can see most of the backyard
through them. Veronica, Allison and Scott’s three year-old daughter, is wolfed
out and chasing Liam around the backyard. Malia and Kira are laughing so hard
they’re curled up on the ground, clutching their stomachs. Erica, Boyd and
Hayden seem to be having a contest of who can eat the most pie in as little
time as possible. Isaac is lifting himself out of the pool, shaking his head,
making water droplets fly everywhere, and getting yelled at by Allison and
Lydia, who are floating around on inflatable chairs, because he’s getting pool
water in their drinks. Jackson and Scott are waiting for more food by the grill
that Stiles’ dad is manning, while Melissa and Mason seem to be in deep
conversation while lounging in their chairs. Jordan will be coming by later
after his shift. Everyone seems to be having a good time, and Derek knows that
when he goes out there he’ll be smelling sun, barbecue and happiness.Derek leans back against Stiles, who
wraps his arms around Derek’s waist and hooks his chin over Derek’s shoulder.‘So, are you going to join the party
now? It is, after all, our housewarming party,’ Stiles murmurs.‘I don’t think I have a choice,’ Derek
says. ‘I promised Scott I’d throw him in the pool when he least suspects it.’‘Signal me so I can record it,’ Stiles
chuckles, pressing his grin to Derek’s
neck.‘Of course. Else, what would be the
point?’
Slice Of Life

Stiles groaned and pulled the duvet up over his head in an attempt to drown out the sound of the alarm blaring from his phone on the bedside table. The sunlight illuminating the bedroom hadn’t really bothered him or his sleep, but the sound of beeping certainly did.
He heaved a sigh of relief when the beeping stopped for a second, and he was ready to fall back asleep to the distant sound of birds chirping and cars driving down the street, but then the beeping started again, as did his groaning.
“Staying under there isn’t gonna make the alarm stop, just so you know.”
Slowly, Stiles pulled down the duvet just enough so he could peek over the edge of it, and he glared daggers at Derek in the doorway to the bedroom. Derek who was panting and sweating, one earbud still in his ear while the other hang loosely down his chest. A small grin was on his lips, hands on his hips.
“How the fuck are you so awake already?” Stiles complained, letting his head fall heavily onto the pillow again with a sigh.
The alarm was still very much going, but he couldn’t be bothered with it.

Read on AO3For @sterekwriters Summer Bingo prompt: Gardening
Stiles know exactly three things about
gardening: it involves plants; he sucks at it; Derek looks hot while doing it.
Which is why he’s completely mystified Derek keeps taking him to the garden
centre and not Lydia or Isaac, who both actually know stuff about how to grow
plants. The only thing Stiles contributes to these shopping trips is picking
out the newest member of their garden gnome family. He mostly just trails after
Derek, pushing their cart. Not that Stiles minds. He loves watching
Derek cradle little plants in his strong hands, inspecting their petals and
leaves and the dirt they’re growing in. He thinks it’s hilarious when Derek
tests the soil, sniffing all the dirt and always getting some stuck on his
nose. The best part though, is that he always manages to get a rise out of
Derek with one simple question. They’re standing in the middle of the
green house. Derek is gently caressing the petals of a pink flower Stiles doesn’t
know the name of.‘You know what I don’t get?’ Stiles
begins.‘What?’
‘Why we don’t just tile the whole garden
over? Or just have grass everywhere?’ Stiles finishes. He sets his jaw so he
won’t accidentally laugh when…Derek whirls toward him, eyes wide,
cradling the pink flower like he’s protecting it from Stiles’ evil words.‘We are not tiling over our garden,’ Derek snaps.
A lady one aisle over stops and gasps,
like she agrees with Derek and can’t believe Stiles dared to say such a
sacrilegious thing in the middle of a green house.‘But it would be so much easier,’ Stiles
whines.‘First of all, no it would not; grass
and tiles have to be maintained just as much as flowers and shrubs do. Second,
if we tiled it over there would be more chance of flooding since it’ll take
longer for the water to sink into the soil—‘‘So we use grass.’
‘Third,
the bees need our help. The bee population is rapidly declining and they need
flowers to pollinate and make their honey, so they can make more baby bees.’‘Bees sting,’ Stiles pouts. It’s getting
harder not to laugh. Derek is such a nerd.‘You’re not allergic, so deal with it.
Finally, I like gardening. I like coming here and picking out new plants and
decorations. I like watching our garden go from empty to colourful and alive. I
like picking flowers I helped grow and make them into little bouquets for our
table.’Stiles is leaning on the shopping cart,
elbows on the handlebar, chin in his hands. He loves this part of Derek’s
speech of why he wants a garden the
best; Derek gets so excited and riled up that he gets romantic.‘I like taking breaks and drinking iced
tea or lemonade you made with you. I like it when you make fun of my hat.’Stiles can no longer suppress his laughter
at that. Derek’s gardening hat is ridiculous. It looks like something an eighty
year-old lady from the English countryside would wear. It’s made of straw, and the
brim is almost two hand widths wide.‘And I love it when I’m done and we sit
on the porch or on the grass and you make me tell you what every plant is and
why I put the plants in the place I put them.’ Derek sighs and rubs a hand over
his face. ‘And I just realized you asked that question just to get a rise out
of me.’‘Yep,’ Stiles says, popping the “p”. He
leans in to press a quick kiss at the corner of Derek’s mouth. When he pulls
back Derek is shaking his head and the tips of his ears are red.‘I’m making you carry the bags of soil,’
Derek huffs, but there’s a smile tugging at his lips.Stiles grins. Totally worth it.
How about a ficlet of Stiles learning how to be a werewolf and Derek helping him out? Established relationship with snark and Stiles being pretty good at this werewolf thing? :3
(Not much snark, sorry.)
”Okay, I wasn’t a fan at first, but I
gotta say, this is pretty cool,” Stiles says as he makes his new
claws slowly appear and disappear. Derek is torn, because on the one
hand he’s so fucking proud of his amazing boyfriend. Most bitten
wolves take weeks or even months to learn this level of control, and
Stiles was bitten a mere five days ago. But on the other hand, he
kinda doesn’t want to make Stiles feel too cocky. His first full moon
is still gonna be challenging.Maybe not as much as Derek fears,
though, because Stiles is now making some claws come out while at the
same time pulling others in. There’s no way Derek can stop himself
from raising both eyebrows in amazement. Stiles doesn’t even notice
though, too busy experimenting and grinning at his hands. ”Why
didn’t anyone ever tell me how fun this is?””Maybe because most new wolves are
too busy dealing with sensory overload. How are you handling it?””Huh? Oh, I hardly even notice. I
mean, when it started it was kinda awful, but you were right there
and I just sorta focused on you and then it just dialed down on its
own.”Derek has to clench his fists so hard
the skin pulls painfully around his knuckles to avoid making a
spectacle of himself, because Stiles obviously doesn’t understand
what he’s just said. They’ve had the talk about anchors, but Derek
deliberately hasn’t asked what Stiles’ is, because an achor is a
private matter, and no one should have to reveal it if they don’t
want to. But there’s no other explanation for this. Derek is Stiles’
anchor. He’s so stunned by it that he hardly
knows what to do with himself, because he thought for sure it would
have been his father, or maybe even the memory of his mother. It must
show in his face, because Stiles takes one look at it and frowns.”Oh, uh, sorry, was that awkward? I
know you said we didn’t have to talk about it.” He looks a little
longer, and then suddenly narrows his eyes. ”Wait… you didn’t
know? I thought you just didn’t wanna talk about it because you’re
weird about feelings, but… you really didn’t think you’d be my
anchor?””Your dad,” Derek says hesitantly,
and Stiles huffs.”Yeah, I mean, sure, could have been.
But… guess the heart wants what it wants, huh?”There’s a heavy sort of air between
them for a long moment, and Derek feels like he’s about to flow over
with something. Probably feelings. Stiles isn’t entirely wrong, he
does have certain emotional issues.”You’re my anchor too,” he blurts,
even though he really didn’t mean to, but Stiles just smiles wryly at
him.”Yeah. I know, big guy.”
”Right, cause you know everything,”
Derek murmurs, trying in vain to defuse the tension before his
emotions make him do something stupid like falling to his knees and
proclaim his love in badly written poetry. But Stiles isn’t even remotely phased,
and just leans over to turn Derek’s face to his, and press a slow and
sweet kiss to his lips. ”Damn right I do.”As it turns out, he does in fact not
know everything, and Derek will forever cherish the memory of Stiles’
first attempt at a roar.End.
“How long has it been?” + sterek
The front door opens while Derek’s in the kitchen, hunting out snacks.
“Hey,” he pops his head around the kitchen door frame, smiles at Stiles.
“Hey pop tart,” Stiles greets him with a wan smile, and then looks
strangely depressed.Derek would say it’s because he’s realized suddenly that his variety of
endearments for Derek are strange and ridiculous, but he’s been doing it for
years, now and Derek, oddly, embarrassingly, likes them.
