Stiles trying to pull an all nighter working on his graduate thesis and Derek carrying him to bed at 4 in the morning because he’d fallen asleep on his laptop.
He wakes the next morning after a few hours of sleep to the sound of an alarm he didn’t remember setting, finds a hot cup of coffee on the nightstand, and a note from Derek reminding him to eat.
Derek gets home from a particularly long day of work that evening and finds Stiles napping on the couch, his laptop closed and dinner on the counter with a note from Stiles telling him he loves him
“Autumn was a special time in the indoor universe, when gas lights burned red and fauna hid on couches to hibernate. Soon, all would be dark.”

COSMOS (1/3). Part 2 is here and part 3 is here.
Here are the first few pieces in my solo show, COSMOS (on view at WWA Gallery till November 9th). From top to bottom: “Cosmogony,” “Sun,” “Earth,” and “Moon”
COSMOS is an exploration of the elements that together make up a personal universe. It’s about the tension between light and dark and the consequences of that struggle. It is the creation of the universe, of celestial bodies, and of planet Earth as a metaphor for the development and evolution of an identity.
This show contains a few visual callbacks to my past shows, Into the Unknown and The End. All of these shows have been semi-autobiographical and are therefore loosely related, so they share similar symbolic elements.
COSMOS is dedicated to my family.
