Stiles, while smart and plays online fantasy role playing games, isn’t really much of a nerd or a dork. He’s probably a solid B student and games like WOW are popular among all types of teens.

He’s a class clown.

Sure, he may not be jock-popular, which is why Lydia wasn’t interested and Jackson made fun of him, but that doesn’t mean he was unpopular.

Plus, when they go to tryouts… Stiles sits on the bench the whole time? I always thought that was weird. Why isn’t he out there doing drills with the rest of the team. But Scott wants to make first line. Stiles doesn’t care about that. He probably doesn’t even want to play lacrosse because he’s not super good at running, he’s only there for Scott. That being said, if he’s just chilling on the bench during tryouts, it means he’s secured his spot already as second string and as a sophomore, isn’t pushing to be better than the upperclassmen.

Idk. I have things to ponder. Semi-popular class clown Stiles… Scott’s the one without other friends, and he sometimes forgets that Stiles does. When they get sucked into the world of the supernatural, Scott’s world only narrows, and Stiles’ along with it… but Stiles would have been keeping up with his other interests and hobbies the whole time. I mean, we don’t learn about his online role playing games until seasons later, and Scott didn’t even know about it.

Also, in season oneat lydia’s party when scott can’t control his shift stiles is chatting with a group of people in there. Scott is never been seen interacting with someone except for Stiles. Season one Stiles wasn’t the loser one in the duo!
