group of friends have to rely on each other’s strengths to negate their
own weaknesses.

Scott’s
a freshman at Sky High, along with his best friends Stiles and Isaac.
On his first day, he realises he has an archenemy: Derek Hale. By the
end of the week, Scott’s discovered his superpower, is dating the most
popular girl at school, and everything seems to be perfect. Even though
he hardly sees Stiles and Isaac anymore.
Stiles
is a freshman at Sky High, and on his first day, he is put on the
Sidekick track with both Isaac and Scott. By the end of his first week,
Scott’s spending all of his time with the supposedly perfect Allison, so
Stiles and Isaac make friends with Derek Hale, Erica Reyes, and
(first-name unknown) Boyd. (Friends is kind of a loosely applied term.)
Derek
is a junior at Sky High, and only has friends because Erica’s too pushy
to leave him alone, and where she goes, Boyd’s not far behind. His
first day back finds him staring at Scott McCall, the son of the super
that put his uncle in Beacon Hills Penitentiary. (He’s not staring at
McCall’s friend, no matter what Erica thinks, even though he can recite
how many moles he has within ten minutes.)
“Maybe this time next year, I’ll be able to make it snow for us to make a real snowman.”
She’s
joking, of course – as if she could really become that powerful in a
single year – but Scott’s nod is completely serious. “I bet you will,”
he says, without a hint of mockery in his voice. “You’re way cooler than
you let on, Kira Yukimura.”
Her face abruptly heats. He knows her full name. “Well, if the ice guy says I’m cool, then I guess it must be true.”
Scott laughs.

a superpowers AU where they’re basically the X-Men in training, Kira is
the new girl at the Institute, and Scott makes cool things out of ice.)

OKAY, but what exactly is happening here? Is Peter stealing Derek’s memories of Stiles so that Derek can move on after a breakup? Or did someone else steal Derek’s memories and Peter is now giving them back? Or did Derek trust Peter to do something ELSE but Peter messed with Derek’s memories of Stiles instead? I NEED ALL THE FICS. EVERY SCENARIO POSSIBLE.

nobody can remember Stiles except Derek, so Peter is looking at his memories to see if they seem genuine or implanted
nobody can remember Stiles except Papa Stilinski, who insists that he’s a) missing, and b) Derek’s boyfriend, so Peter is looking to see if Derek has hidden memories of him
Stiles has gone missing and Derek might have witnessed what happened and had his memories removed, so Peter is trying to find out what happened
Derek being plagued by memories of somebody who doesn’t seem to exist and them trying to get to the bottom of it

Derek who who ISN’T under a memory loss spell and needs a ‘true love’/mate what have you to break the spell and Derek has resigned to the fact that he’s screwed because there’s absolutely no one that fits that particular bill.
And maybe the spell gets broken but they don’t know how and Peter tries to draw out any memory or clue because it’s eating at Derek. And it’s just Stiles, Stiles Stiles Stiles. Which makes way more sense later when Stiles confesses that he tried to break the spell, because he couldn’t not try. He wasn’t expecting it to work.
OR MAYBE Derek thinks Stiles was killed and he asks Peter to take his memories so he won’t have to live with the pain that he lost another person he loved, actually the person he loved the most, the man he was going to spend the rest of his life with.
Then it turns out Stiles isn’t dead and one day he comes home, hurt and exhausted but smiling all the same, and Derek doesn’t remember. And Stiles tries to convince him to find a way to work it out but Derek thinks it’s better thay way, not loving is better than loving and losing. But Stiles isn’t one to give up, he’s been through so much to get back and he wants his life back, with his Derek and their future.
It takes a lot of pain and tears but in the end one kiss heals everything and they both get what they once had lost back.
What I heard: That’s fifty thousand for one night with Derek.
Look, there’s so many possibilities here. Maybe he’s a rich spoilt brat, buying a very expensive werewolf for a night and a hot dirty wrong PWP is the result of it. Maybe this is a ruse, where he needs to free Derek from slavery and the only way is to pretend to buy him for his sexual pleasure for one night. Maybe Stiles is part of a group of rebels who have been freeing key family members of high ranking werewolf rebels from slavery and he’s sent in as one of the few human members. Maybe Stiles is part of some underground organisation and he needs to buy Derek’s services from the Pack for a night to help him execute some terrible crime that ultimately has a good cause.
What I’m saying is… why isn’t there a thousand new fanfics spawning from this gif already??
I totally see where you’re coming from, but I get more of a dating show type vibe – all the alphas vying for a chance with a lovely omega (Derek only agreed to go on the show when he heard that Stiles had signed up and he may have threatened a few people to make sure he would be on the same episode as Stiles… but that’s not important). It looks like they are all trying to get ready for the events – you have Juston rolling up his sleeves to show off his arms, Glen flexing in the back trying to stand out, Wyatt just looks excited, Blake is chill and relaxed, and then you have Hoechlin Derek who looks a little anxious, and is staring off to the side (most likely where Stiles happens to be sitting..). Because the thing is, this sounded like a better idea in his head – he’d make sure to be on with Stiles and would win the heart of the guy hes been pining after for years… But now that hes here, with all these other alphas who probably have so much more they can offer Stiles, who are probably a much better match for such a vibrant, somewhat spastic, full-of-life omega like Stiles.. How can Derek even compete? He could handle the pining (shut up Laura he totally doesn’t mope that much!) but being rejected (on national tv of all places) by the person he loves? Being told hes not good enough by the only person whose opinion really matters? That he can’t handle. So he starts to fidget and look around for any way out of this ridiculous situation hes put himself in but before he can find an exit, he finds whiskey brown eyes that he would know anywhere… And they are staring straight back at him… Stiles offers him a shy smile and a tiny wave of his hand and in that moment, everything within Derek settles, he feels like he is finally in the exact place hes supposed to be. They don’t break eye contact as Stiles walks up to take his seat and no matter what the host tries to do, Stiles attention stays on Derek (who obviously wins by a landslide). As it turns out, Stiles had only agreed to go on the show to try and make himself look desirable to Derek, whose constant glaring made Stiles think he hated him (he was NOT glaring he was just nervous, shut up Stiles). In the end it makes for a pretty boring hour of television, but it does make for a pretty interesting story to tell their kids when they ask how their parents met…
Stiles thought the Blind Date With a Book trend was a great way to drum up business for his small bookshop. He definitely thought it was a great idea after the hot guy kept returning and buying more blind dates with books.
Derek didn’t know how he kept getting set up on blind dates by his family, or why he kept going on them. The highlight of his night was when the date was over and he could go to the little bookshop in town and buy something to read for the rest of the night. He wanted to read, not date.
There are times when he feels as if they could fall into bed together, easy as breathing. If Stiles were not highborn, if he were an omega without connections, Derek would be sorely tempted. As it is, he resists. Derek wants, he yearns, but he resists. Still, the sight of Stiles in his cot is enough to test him, even now that it is familiar. At the end of each lambing season, he sleeps for a week, worn down by months of hard work, of relentless struggle. He doesn’t know how he’ll feel by the time Stiles leaves, how he’ll feel after long days and longer nights spent resisting the insistent tug of Stiles’s scent and the inclinations of his own foolish heart. All Derek wants is to get through the lambing season with his body and spirit intact. He had thought that the blizzards would be the main danger, not a highborn omega with beautiful eyes and a stubborn streak.
