I feel like this could go both ways, but I’m all about Derek being the one with the specific coffee order from Starbucks

Imagine Derek who goes to Starbucks every single morning and throws out that long and very specific order like he’s rehearsed it many times – which he might have. And maybe he visits the same Starbucks enough times with the same order every single time, that the morning baristas all know it by heart and greet him every morning he comes in

And then imagine Stiles not caring about the taste of his coffee. He just needs it to be coffee and strong, enough to wake him up or keep him awake. So maybe the black coffee that he (poorly) makes himself and drinks through a straw isn’t that great but at least he doesn’t doze off every two minutes anymore, and he gets his shit done

Now imagine Derek finding out about Stiles’ horrible coffee habits and he judges Stiles a little bit, not saying a word but his eyebrows say it all. And Stiles just scoffs at him because “Not all of us have the money to be a regular Starbucks customer and drink fancy coffee every morning, Derek”

And you know what Derek would start doing then? That’s right, he’d go add another order of coffee to his regular one and bring it to Stiles. And Stiles, of course, is surprised and maybe a little flustered. And the coffee is good, alright. Stiles has no idea how Derek managed to nail the things he likes in coffee but he did

So Derek keeps doing it every once in a while, just to change up Stiles’ horrible coffee habits a little because no one should drink terribly made coffee from a straw and straight from the pot
