There’s something to be said for fiction that’s predictable. Like I don’t always want to watch or read something that makes me nervous and wonder what’s going to happen. Sometimes it’s nice to read something where you know exactly how it’ll end. It can be relaxing just to watch a plot unfold.
YES. Most days, I have enough stress and anticipation and worry in my life. And, I mean, it’s easy to find books and other stories where I’m on tenterhooks. Being able to find a story (or write one) where the tags include ‘nothing bad happens’ and ‘everyone lives happily ever after’ is priceless.
I think this is one of the best things about fan fiction, tbh, especially when a storyline at least breaks the white hetero norm.
I sometimes have to pay for water, but with a phone and some wifi, I get to read whole novels about my favorite characters for exactly zero additional dollars
I’m so glad I’m seeing teenagers recognize that older men have no business talking to them in a romantic/sexual way. I’d always be like “I’m SUPER mature” and took the attention as a compliment which played right into older men’s traps. But I see girls now like “dude I’m 14 fuck off” and that makes me so happy for this upcoming generation of girls that know their worth and don’t take shit.
I just love how Teen Wolf fandom saw Erica, Isaac and Boyd and were like… I don’t give a shit about what might’ve happened in canon, in every fic these are Derek’s peeps.

Honestly, when we say we want to end street harassment grown men act like we are saying they can never find a woman attractive in public. As if there isn’t a HUGE difference between thinking to yourself “wow that person is so pretty!!!!!” or scaring and dehumanizing them by yelling, threatening, leering and otherwise behaving as if they’re not even a person but a product for your consumption.
