Illya says, “I don’t deserve you. Look at me.” Napoleon scoffs and takes his hand. “I’m not the silly romantic you think. I don’t want the heavens or the shooting stars. I don’t want gemstones or gold. I have those things already. I want…a steady hand. A kind soul. I want to fall asleep, and wake, knowing my heart is safe. I want to love, and be loved.” (Quote by Shana Abé) He takes the ring and gently slides it on Illya’s finger. “This is why I want you to marry me.”
Illya is an antiquarian and he is always travelling to find new interesting stuff to sell in his shop, in London. During a trip in Rome he visits a little vintage shop near Piazza Navona where he sees a modern paint and he find himself strangely attracted to the man painted in it. The owner of the shop tells him the paint is called “Trapped” and belonged to Countess Victoria Vinciguerra who’s recently died in a sea accident. The heirs were trying to sell all her stuff because there were a lot of debts to pay. Illya buys the paint and also a trunk full of other stuff, pictures, diaries and papers who belonged to the Countess in hope to find the ‘trapped’ man.
I noticed that some amazing fics in my Bookmarks have < 1000ish Hits and DESERVES WAY MORE ATTENTION. They are all somewhat new but they’re awesome because I said so since they’re in my Bookmarks (I like Napollya, protective Illya, brave Napoleon, etc.)
